Joel L. Halverson presented “Advocacy and Related Controversial Forensic Practices Under Meditation Confidentiality and at Trial” at the FEWA National Conference at the Bar Association of San Francisco, May 19, 2017. The presentation addressed industry trends, guidelines, and canons pertaining to advocacy in the forensic practices, including in the mediation process, and delve into courts’ and attorneys’ expectations and practices with respect to the forensic expert’s testimony and reports, as well as the potential liability of the forensic expert witness.
