Austin Kenney and Alisa Givental Present “Litigating a Case Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act” at the Association of Consumer Vehicle Lessors 2017 Annual Conference

In October, Austin Kenney and Alisa Givental presented at the 2017 Annual Conference of the Association of Consumer Vehicle Lessors, a national trade association of major retail automobile lessors. Mr. Kenney and Ms. Givental addressed preventative risk management solutions and responsive litigation strategies for claims and lawsuits arising under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and corollary state laws. The presentation was punctuated by a notable case study and a lively interactive discussion of strategic issues facing business lines and in-house legal teams at banks and consumer finance companies, with an emphasis on the concerns of retail automobile lessors. Mr. Kenney and Ms. Givental are part of the Firm’s Financial Services Practice Group and specialize in representing automobile finance companies and consumer lenders in all manner of legal disputes involving state and federal consumer protection laws.
