The Laterman-Petris-Short Act did not grant implied rights of action for alleged violations of various sections of the act to a person involuntarily detained for a 72-hour hold under that act.  Plaintiff’s state and federal civil rights act claims were also properly dismissed because the officers who detained her were entitled to qualified immunity and had probable cause to detain her.
