A property owner has no right to unobstructed views.  Hence, he has no inverse condemnation action against a city for planting trees in a park which obstructed his view and lowered the value of his property.  Diminution in property value from a public works project is not a compensable taking in itself, although diminution in value may be awarded as part of the just compensation for a partial taking of a part of the property.
