Severson & Werson is expanding its nationally respected trial practice with the addition of Sharon C. Collier, Nandor B. Krause, and Kenneth C. Ward, three accomplished trial attorneys who have earned accolades from their clients and preeminent trial-attorney organizations.

Sharon C. Collier Ms. Collier is an Associate Member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and is recognized as a Board Certified Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. She has successfully tried to verdict a wide variety of disputes, including claims for unfair competition, breach of contract, intellectual property, employment, and personal injury. She is frequently retained to take cases over from other law firms on the eve of trial when a settlement has failed and a trial is imminent.
Ms. Collier represents international corporations, regional and local businesses, and insureds in commercial litigation matters that range from contract disputes to discrimination claims to claims for trade secret misappropriation. Her skill in the courtroom extends to all matters of civil litigation disputes.
Nandor B. Krause Mr. Krause is a trial attorney with nearly 30 years of experience who has successfully tried cases that include commercial business disputes, motor vehicle accidents, asbestos exposure claims, construction site accidents, mechanic’s lien disputes, product liability claims, medical malpractice claims, and elevator accidents. He has defended clients against claims based on defective products, premises liability issues, foodborne illnesses, toxic torts, construction disputes, vehicular accidents, and HOA issues.
Mr. Krause represents a variety of businesses and managers as well as their insurers. His clients include general contractors, subcontractors, premises owners, product manufacturers, hotel owners, and operators, and real estate investment trusts. Mr. Krause regularly advises businesses during formation and acquisition, and also serves as a board member for various non-profit associations.
Kenneth C. Ward Kenneth (“KC”) Ward typically takes three jury trials to verdict each year and has tried more than 100 trials to verdict over his career. He is recognized as a Board Certified Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, and as an Advocate in the American Board of Trial Advocates. Mr. Ward has held a Martindale-Hubbell “AV” rating for more than 30 years and has been recognized as one of San Francisco’s “Top Rated Lawyers.”
Mr. Ward has obtained significant trial victories for his clients in a broad range of matters, including insurance bad faith, inverse condemnation, brain damage, spinal cord injuries, vehicular death, chemicals used in food processing, and food-borne pathogens. He has secured defense verdicts in many high-exposure cases, and significantly limited the risk for his clients in others.
