Deutsche Bank National Trust Company (DBNTC) prevailed at a three-day bench trial before Judge Richard Jones of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington. The plaintiff, a mortgage borrower, alleged that DBNTC had failed to perfect its ownership of the loan following origination and then failed to provide pre-foreclosure notices required under Washington law. Judge Jones rejected the plaintiff’s Deed of Trust Act and Consumer Protection Act claims and entered judgment for DBNTC. Andrew Noble tried the case for DBNTC. Knecht v. Fidelity National Title Ins. Co., 2015 WL 3618358 (W.D. Wash. June 9, 2015).
