Will brings wide-ranging litigation experience in both the public and private sectors to his practice.
Will joined Severson & Werson’s San Francisco office in 2017. As an Associate in the Financial Services Practice Group, his practice focuses on mortgage litigation and bank operations. He also represents clients on issues related to employment law and intellectual property.
Will was previously General Counsel and Director of Business Development for a publicly traded company on the London Stock Exchange, where he handled matters ranging from initial public offering to capitalization and acquisitions. Will’s prior business experience informs his approach to finding practical solutions to complex litigation issues.
Will has experience providing advice and counsel on employment issues including the drafting of anti-discrimination policies for employee handbooks. He also has experience defending bank employees in depositions.
Prior to his burgeoning career in the private sector, Will was honored to both intern and clerk for some of the most prestigious judges in the western U.S., including the Honorable Judge Procter Hug, Jr. of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Honorable Chief Judge Claire Eagan of the District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma, and the Honorable Chief Judge Robert Henry of the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. His dedication to public service led him to the Denver District Attorney’s office, where he tried 18 jury trials to verdict as a Deputy District Attorney.
Will graduated from the University of California, Hastings, College of the Law in 2012. He is licensed to practice law in all state and federal district courts in California and Colorado. Will is also a member of the Silicon Valley Blockchain Society (SVBS) – A global, private member driven organization providing support, information and access to select Blockchain related companies, organizations and services.
