Tara Mohseni is an Associate in Severson & Werson’s San Francisco office and a member of the Financial Services and Employment Practice Group. Her practice consists of defending large financial institutions in State and Federal court in mortgage lending and consumer finance disputes. She also provides strategic employment counsel to the firm’s broader array of clients in the context of the CARES Act legislation and related discrimination, disability accommodation, retaliation, and wage and hour compliance issues. She is skillful in all stages of litigation, and has defended numerous cases to settlement, positive rulings on dispositive motions, and obtained a successful complete defense verdict in a jury trial representing a national loan servicer.
Prior to joining Severson & Werson, Tara practiced at a national class-action employment firm where she handled matters relating to employment discrimination and wage & hour violations.
In 2016, Tara received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of Law. In her time there, she participated in the UC Hastings Alternative Dispute Resolution Team and served as a Symposium Editor for the UC Hastings Women’s Law Journal. She also served as an extern in the misdemeanor unit of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Northern District of California. Tara earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
