John Sullivan’s extensive experience in representing clients in the financial services industry allows him to listen to clients’ problems and develop strategies to achieve the desired outcome for his clients, whether that outcome involves creative settlement arrangements or, when necessary, complex litigation.
John is a long time Member and former President of Severson & Werson. John practices in the area of civil litigation with an emphasis on complex business disputes, contract claims, fraud claims, and consumer class action suits involving the financial services industry. He has handled numerous trials in state and federal courts and has familiarity with all forms of alternative dispute resolution including class action settlements and arbitration.
John works primarily with clients, cultivating long-lasting client relationships through experience and trust, counseling clients on major matters, developing strategies and avenues for resolving cases through settlement, if possible, and trial, if necessary. His focus is on helping his clients solve their problems through innovative settlement and litigation strategies, with years of success supporting his reputation. His knowledge and experience have built a foundation of long-term satisfied clients. John listens and works with his clients to develop the best mutual strategy to achieve the desired outcome for his clients.
John is very active in a number of professional associations. He is currently a member of the American Bar Association – Litigation Section, State Bar of California, and the Bar Association of San Francisco. John is also a member of the Governing Committee of the Conference on Consumer Law. John has lectured before the American Financial Services Association and for the California Financial Services Association.
