Jeremy Katz is an Associate in Severson & Werson’s Irvine office, where he practices in the Financial Services Litigation and Mortgage Banking Groups. Mr. Katz specializes in defending mortgage lenders and loan servicers against borrower complaints involving lender liability, wrongful foreclosure, and violations of state and federal statutes.
Before joining Severson & Werson in 2014, Mr. Katz spent five years at HamptonHolley LLP specializing in business and commercial litigation, including partnership disputes, fiduciary claims, professional liability, and contractual disputes.
Mr. Katz graduated magna cum laude from Chapman University School of Law, where he served on the executive board of the Chapman Law Review. He also earned CALI Awards for Excellence in Constitutional Law, Contracts, Water Law and for his work in the Appellate Law Clinic.
Mr. Katz previously served as a judicial extern for Chief Judge Alex Kozinski at the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and as a law clerk in the Orange County Superior Court’s Legal Research Department.
Mr. Katz graduated from UCLA in 2002 with a B.A. in Theater.
