Andrew’s broad and unusual practical experience prior to becoming a lawyer makes him an exceptional counselor and attorney at law.
The son of a well-regarded engineer, Andrew worked for many years as an environmental and geotechnical field engineer in California and Colorado. He was also a certified hazardous waste and radioactive waste worker, and a carpenter framing large, custom and semi-custom homes. Andrew’s practical knowledge and experience in design and construction allows him to efficiently and effectively communicate technical concepts, and to develop trust with design professional clients.
Andrew is part of Severson & Werson’s Construction Group in San Francisco and represents primarily design professionals – architect, engineers, land surveyors, scientists—in contract negotiations and dispute resolution. A good contract can prevent disputes, and when they do arise, most can and are resolved short of trial. Andrew’s passion for his profession is driven by his success in assisting his clients in successfully contracting for and completing projects, and when necessary, getting them out of harm’s way when they find themselves in a lawsuit.
