Andrew W. Noble

Andrew Noble Banking and Commercial Litigation

Experienced litigation and transactional counselor with a regional practice focusing on commercial and residential mortgage lending and retail banking.

Andrew is an accomplished trial lawyer who has tried numerous cases in state and federal courts in California, Washington and Colorado. But matters that begin in litigation are not always tried, and his experience restructuring litigated deals sparked an interest in transactional work. Andrew now divides his practice between litigation and transactional matters. He recommends it; the litigation background helps Andrew evaluate risk, while the deal work provides a deeper understanding of the business.

Andrew’s transactional work concentrates on documenting commercial and construction mortgage loans and restructuring debt, in particular on behalf of auto finance lenders in relations with their dealers.

Andrew’s litigated cases involve all manner of disputes arising from commercial and residential mortgage loans and retail banking. They frequently include the complex title and lien priority issues and compliance with TILA, RESPA, FCRA, FDCPA, and foreclosure and consumer protection statutes.

Andrew is admitted to practice in California and Washington State and handles litigation and deal work throughout western states. He is a former chair of the California Bar Association’s Consumer Financial Services Committee and is active with the California Mortgage Bankers Association and the Washington Mortgage Bankers Association.
