This decision affirms a judgment on a jury verdict for a high-ranking member of LA’s police department for sexual harassment based on the city’s failure to stop male members of the police department from further distributing a picture made to look like the plaintiff, exhibiting bare breasts in a suggestive pose.  When plaintiff learned the picture had been widely distributed in the department and complained about it, the department did nothing to prevent further distribution of the picture.  There was substantial evidence that the wide circulation of the picture, even after plaintiff complained about it caused her considerable distress and interfered with her ability to work.
