The firm represents shipowners and charterers, ship repair facilities, marine product manufacturers and suppliers, and both open market and protection and indemnity insurers and reinsurers. The firm has many years of experience in representing overseas insurers, particularly from the London and Scandinavian insurance markets. One of our partners regularly serves as an expert witness in marine insurance disputes.
Our attorneys regularly handle declaratory relief actions regarding marine insurance policies in both state and federal courts, as well as mediation and arbitration before recognized experts in the field. We also have expertise in oil and gas energy matters, both from the defense and coverage perspectives. We have handled many cases involving losses in the North Sea, the Gulf of Mexico, and both on-shore and off-shore California.
