For over 45 years, Severson & Werson has represented clients as lead appellate counsel or in cooperation with local counsel in all types of appeals, extraordinary writs, and post trial motions.  The firm has membership in the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers and one of its members argued the first case presided over by United States Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts.

The issues involved in the firm’s appeals and writ proceedings include antitrust, bankruptcy, civil procedure, contracts, commercial law, construction disputes, consumer protection, insurance coverage, labor law, professional malpractice, psychotherapy issues, securities, unfair business practices, and wrongful termination of employees and dealers. Severson & Werson has also represented numerous corporations and commercial organizations as amicus curiae on various appeals raising issues of general concern to various industries.
