Severson and Werson

Jon D. Ives is an associate practicing with Severson & Werson's Financial Services Litigation group.

Mr. Ives defends financial institutions against consumer and class actions in state and federal court.  He litigates on behalf of banks, mortgage lenders, and servicers in suits involving TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, RICO, Business and Professions Code section 17200, tort, and contract claims.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Ives served as a law clerk to the Honorable Saundra Brown Armstrong, U.S. District Judge, Northern District of California, and the Honorable Stephen Wm. Smith, U.S. Magistrate Judge, Southern District of Texas.

Mr. Ives earned his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and his undergraduate degree in philosophy from Colgate University.

Mr. Ives is admitted to the State Bars of California and Texas.
