David A. Ericksen to speak at the Finance Insurance and XL Design Professional’s risk management seminar entitled, “The Future Is Now: Design Professional Strategies for Managing the Changing World Marketplace” on July 23, 2008 in Honolulu, Hawaii.

David A. Ericksen, Member and head of Severson & Werson’s Construction Litigation Practice Group, will speak on a panel at the Finance Insurance and XL Design Professional’s risk management seminar entitled, “The Future Is Now: Design Professional Strategies for Managing the Changing World Marketplace.” This seminar will address how design and construction has evolved into a world marketplace. It is now common to have design and construction activity taking place on as many as four continents and involving even more languages and forms of currency. This presents a great challenge and opportunity. It also presents non-traditional risks which must be identified and strategically managed. The seminar will be interactive with a primary emphasis on strategic management tools to embrace the opportunities. The seminar will then address the key contractual issues and strategies to establish the basis for success.

David A. Ericksen to present, "Three Emerging Issues in Professional Liability," at the 2008 PLAN Annual Meeting on September 13, 2008 in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming

David A. Ericksen, Member and head of Severson & Werson’s Construction Litigation Practice Group, will present, “Three Emerging Issues in Professional Liablitiy,” which include, protecting against BIM/IPD claims, AIA vs. AGC contract documents and new claims horizon: public school construction, at the 2008 PLAN Annual Meeting.  The meeting will take place on September 11-13, 2008 at Jackson Lodge in Grand Teton National Park outside Jackson Hole, Wyoming.  Mr. Ericksen will be presenting on Saturday, September 13, from 9:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
