Harold R. Jones is an associate in the firm’s Financial Services Litigation and Labor and Employment groups. A litigator, his practice emphasizes representation of financial institutions in consumer actions, complex business disputes, and labor and employment matters.
Mr. Jones has experience in all facets of commercial and consumer litigation, including breach of contract, fraud, unfair business practices, securities, and intellectual property claims. Mr. Jones also has experience in defending employers against labor and employment claims before state and federal courts.
Mr. Jones received his juris doctorate from Santa Clara University in 2000. He is a former legal extern to the Honorable James Ware of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California and is admitted to practice before all State and Federal courts in California.
Mr. Jones joined Severson & Werson in 2005 after practicing with Steefel Levitt & Weiss, and most recently with Lafayette & Kumagai.
Mr. Jones primary areas of legal practice include:
Employment Litigation: Defense of the full range of state and federal employment law actions including claims of discrimination and harassment, wrongful termination, breach of contract, defamation, and invasion of privacy and many other employment-related matters.
Consumer and Commercial Finance Litigation: Representation of financial institutions in a broad array of business disputes arising from complex lending agreements, consumer protection laws and regulatory disclosure requirements.
