Eleanor Roman appellate litigation

Financial Services Litigation Practice specializing in efficient resolution before a trial of actions brought in state and federal court via dispositive motions, or negotiated settlements, including stipulated judgments and targeted written discovery and depositions.

Litigation in state and federal court (including trials in State court), mediations and arbitrations. Expertise in legal writing (law and motion), oral argument and depositions, both taking and defending the depositions of percipient and expert witnesses. Significant and successful experience with the exercise of provisional remedies in state and federal court on behalf of clients, including obtaining writs of possession and attachment, and working with local state and federal law enforcement agencies in connection with levying such writs once they are obtained. Proficient in client reporting and analyses of cases in connection with potential scenarios for resolution and in connection with the trial.

During law school, Ms. Roman clerked for the United States Attorney, Environmental and Natural Resources section, the Harris County District Attorney, and the Sierra Club Legal Defense Fund. She was a member of the Commercial Real Estate Women, San Francisco from 1999-2008. She was a member of the Presidio of San Francisco Restoration Advisory Board from 1999-2002. She has also served as a volunteer settlement conference panelist for the Marin County Superior Court. She worked as General Counsel to a local real estate developer from 2004-2007.

Eleanor Roman practices in the Firm’s Bankruptcy/Creditors’ Rights and Financial Services Litigation Practice Groups, where she provides counseling to some of the nation’s largest and most influential commercial banks, automobile industry finance companies, and mortgage lenders.
