Danielle M. Ellis-Andrews represents employers in both federal and state court and in administrative proceedings. Ms. Ellis-Andrews has defended wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-hour, breach of contract, and other employment claims. In addition, she advises clients on a wide range of employment issues including the Family and Medical Leave and Family Rights Acts, Americans with Disabilities Act, and wage and hour matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Ellis-Andrews was an associate at Kauff, McClain & McGuire where she litigated various employment claims including wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination and wage-hour, and other employment actions. Her practice also concentrated on employment counseling and litigation where she counseled employers on preventative employment practices designed to assure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and how to provide the best defensive position in the event of litigation.

Ms.Ellis-Andrews earned her law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law. While in law school, she clerked for the United States Department of Labor where she assisted in the investigation of orphaned pensions plans and advised both companies and individuals of their rights and obligations under federal law. Ms. Ellis-Andrews completed her undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles where she received her Bachelor of Arts.

Ms. Ellis-Andrews is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in California.

Ms. Ellis' primary areas of legal practice include:

Labor and Employment Law Litigation, Advice and Counsel.

Employment Advice & Counsel: Counseling and representation of employers on a wide variety of issues arising within the employer/employee relationship, including personnel policies and procedures, drafting and enforcement of employer/employee arbitration agreements, hiring, discipline and termination, internal harassment and discrimination investigations, separation agreements, wage and hour matters, pregnancy and family leave, proprietary information and trade secret issues, affirmative action plans and other pro-active counseling matters.
   
Employment Litigation: Defense of employment matters in state and federal courts and governmental agencies including claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, breach of contract, and other employment-related issues.

Employment Training:
Preparation and presentation of seminars and training sessions to both managerial and line employees on a wide range of employment matters.
